Philosophy

“The challenge is not in the knowing but in the doing.” In our quest to be all things to all people; family, career, community and spirituality, we often lose our self in the pursuit. Our personal wellness often gets punted to meet the needs of others. Taking the time to attend to your personal well being and fitness I believe, is not only the key to living an intentional and purposeful life, moreover, allows you to give your best to others.

Become an active participant in your life. Strive to keep your well being a priority. The time spent in healthy living practices including, regular activity and/or exercise, good nutrition and intentional mindfulness will be regained in abundance due to increased energy, vitality, peace of mind, self efficacy and time. Yes, that time that you thought you didn’t have to be active will suddenly appear as you gain physical, mental and spiritual health. I look forward to sharing in your journey!

Pam Cote

Personal Trainer

Philosophy

We make choices daily. Some are good choices or safe bets, and others, not so great, or unsafe. We may know full well what the outcome of that choice will bring, and other times just hope for the best.

What condition your health and body are in is largely due to the choices you have made up to now. Whether or not it stays the way it is today is determined by your choices from this day forward. If you make good choices and safe bets; the outcome can only be positive. Of all the choices you have to make day after day, effort into healthy living will give back exactly what you put in. That’s a safe bet. Once you’ve made the choice to do the right thing for your health, it is my job as your trainer to help you exercise effectively, motivate you and set you on the next safe bet so that the outcome will be positive results and a great experience.

Personal Trainer

Philosophy

Born and raised in the mountains of British Columbia, my adventurous, and exploratory nature was cultivated on a farm. A tomboy at heart, I have always been curious, and passionate about many subjects and activities: fitness, art, music, writing, cooking, and drawing are some of my favourite fields to explore. Growing up I focused my energy into sports, and dedicated the first half of my life to soccer.

This lead me to the United States on a full-ride scholarship to college in Arizona and, overseas at a Semi-Pro level in England with the Doncaster Rover Belles.

It is no secret that I am a fitness and wellness advocate. I view my body as my home, my temple, and the source that allows me to experience my world from the inside-out.

I became a personal trainer  because the human body was a source of inspiration. Another curiosity I wanted to dive into was developing a positive mindset that could adapt to the uncertainties that come with life.

I believe fitness is only one piece of the puzzle. As human beings, we are intricate forms of intelligence. All aspects of our physical, emotional, chemical, and intangible makeup must synchronize in harmony in order for us to experience what we all want – peace, joy and love. I believe creating a lifestyle plan can effectively guide the direction of our lives in a meaningful way. The benefit of maintaining a level of curiosity and profound respect for ‘the body’ allows us to move through our lives powerfully and purposefully.

Client Base

My method of practice in the training field focuses on functional fitness as the core principle to offer each client a sense of autonomy in cultivate their own unique expression through movement over-time.

Group Fitness Trainer

Philosophy

If there is one thing I can say about myself, it’s that I’m passionate about helping people get healthy. I’m not referring to being “skinnier” or “better looking”. It’s about being in a state in which a person feels strong, healthy, happy and full of energy. I didn’t always feel as healthy as I do now. After high school, I was suffering from 20 pounds I could not lose, horrible digestive issues, chronic strep throat, and recurring mono. In 2008, I became a fitness trainer, and spent the next 5 years not only transforming my own life, but being a part of so many others’ quests for a stronger, healthier self.

It is very clear to me that what you fuel your body with directly affects not only your energy, but also every aspect of your emotional and physical self. I had turned to holistic nutrition to focus on my own mental and physical health, and ….. It was then that I decided I wanted to help people make complete life changes, beyond fitness. In 2013 I completed my training in Holistic Nutrition. Holistic nutrition is not about a diet. It involves learning about what good, whole food can do to help you live a healthy lifestyle. It’s about learning how to work with food and (occasionally) supplementation. It changes your relationship with what you eat – Between looking at the food you eat, the exercise you do and the small, positive changes you can make, together we can help you live a healthy and active life.

Over the last 8 years I have worked with a variety of clientele; from young athletes wanting to improve their individual or team performance, weekend warriors needing some extra motivation to seniors needing help with mobility and body awareness.
